What To Do For Father's Day Along The Gulf Coast.

Looking for something better than just a normal gift for Dad this Father's Day? Here are some ideas of what you can do with him and not just for him.

Here along the Gulf Coast there are so many activities that can be fun for not only just your Father, but also for the family to be involved in.

It is no hidden secret that most Dad's enjoy golf and along the Gulf Coast we have some of the best golf courses around. From Panama City Florida to Lake Charles Louisiana if you are looking to bring Dad out for golf you will definitely have plenty of options. Some even host professional golf events for the PGA Tour, Champions Tour, LPGA Tour, and Tour.

If you are in the Florida panhandle you will find more resort style golf courses such as Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort or Camp Creek. Travel a bit further west to Alabama and you find the Robert Trent Jones Trail or other great courses such as Craft Farms. Get into Mississippi's Gulf Coast and you find more casino/resort style golf courses, such as Harrah's Grand Bear or the Beau Rivage course Fallen Oak.  In Louisiana you can find great golf at the TPC of Louisiana in New Orleans or The National Golf Club of Louisiana in Lake Charles. Depending on the area you are in you will find golf courses that range in price from $35 to $150 and up.

If golf isn't Dad's thing, but fishing is then the Gulf Coast is one of the best places to be. You can fish saltwater marsh, freshwater rivers, bays, lakes and the Gulf of Mexico. You can find charters to take your Father on in Orange Beach from our friends over at the Orange Beach Fishing Association. If you prefer more inshore saltwater fishing head over to Louisiana and see our friends Griffin Fishing Charters and Lodging. There are numerous fishing charters in every area of the Gulf Coast, you just need to decide if you want big fish from the Gulf of Mexico or something else perhaps on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

If Dad is a baseball buff you can bring him to watch two Double A teams, the Mobile Bay Bears at the Pensacola Blue Wahoo's, on Father's Day or the four days prior. A third team in the area, the Triple A - New Orleans Zephyrs, unfortunately are not playing on Father's Day, but if tickets were given as a gift, they will be home the following Tuesday (23rd) thru Thursday (25th). The Biloxi Shuckers, another Double A team,  are also in the area and have just recently had their first game at their new home MGM Park and will be home vs Montgomery on Father's Day.

These are just a few of the ideas how you can treat Dad to Father's Day with a better gift. What Dad would not like a gift that include the one who gave him that gift?
