Easton SP14S50 S50 Slowpitch Softball Bat Review

Over the past two weeks we  test the Easton SP14S50 S50 Slowpitch Softball Bat with our Adult League Co-Ed Softball team.

This bat is made of a durable aluminum alloy keeping the bat light while not compromising the performance. According to Easton the bat is made for speed and power, which we found holds true.

Easton SP14s50 S50 Slowpitch Softball Bat

There are multiple size and weight options available for this bat, but we decided to have our team test the 34-inch/28-ounce option. We went with this option so both the guys and girls on the team could give it a try. The guys found the bat to be just the right length and weight, however a few guys did think the bat was a bit light for them. There is the option to go heavier up to the 34-inch/30-ounce bat. As for the girls on the team they all loved the bat as well. A few had to choke up due to the length, but all liked the slightly heavier weight. It made them feel the were getting force behind the ball. It may be best for the girls to go with the 33-inch/26-ounce bat, but the Easton SP14S50 S50 Slowpitch Softball Bat performed well for everyone.

Conforming to all USSSA, ASA, NSA, ISF, and ISA leagues, you don't have to worry about any rules or regulations being broken in your league.

The Easton SP14S50 S50 Slowpitch Softball Bat bat has the look feel of the more expensive multi-compound bats, but with two differences. The first is this bat is a one piece design for more stability in the swing. The other and probably the bigger factor is the price. At only $24.99 when you get the performance of a $120 bat it is a win win.

Throughout the course of four games this bat was tested, there was an increase in the distance the girls hit the ball and for the guys two home runs were hit by two guys that have never hit a homerun. We are not saying it is all the bat, but we would say for those guys and girls who did tremendously better, they now have the right length and weight combination for them.

The team enjoyed the bat so much they have requested 3 more in various lengths and weights for a better overall test. We will do a follow up to this review after we get the chance to test the other weights and lengths of the Easton SP14S50 S50 Slowpitch Softball Bat.

Easton Walk Off II Bat Bag

Easton also makes a great backpack to carry bats and all your other softball equipment, the Easton Walk-Off II Bat Pack. Although this was not a test product, several members of the team already have this bat-pack. Double bat pockets, double shoulder straps, multiple pockets, and a hook to hang the bag on the fence. It is a very durable bag and has lots of room.

  2. It is safe to say that you are concerned that you are falling behind in slowpitch softball since every one of your rivals can undoubtedly exceed you with no exertion by any means? Is it true that you are putting in hours of practice but then you can't appear to have the capacity to coordinate up to their course of action?

  6. This is a great blog post. How do I decide between the Mizuno 10.75, 11 and 11.5. My son is turning 7. He was using a 10 or 10.5 Louisville Slugger Genesis glove. I bought a 12 inch mizuno used but that was too big (i think it was incorrectly labeled as a youth glove).

  7. There are few sports around the world that are as popular as Slow Pitch Softball. It is played at all age levels and by both male and female players from many countries. It is a sport that not only requires a good amount of hand/eye coordination to play but it also requires you to have good equipment in order to excel at it.

Batting is one of the most important facets of the game of softball and Easton has strong power on the market . Easton has done a really nice job designing a baseball bat

  8. Most softball associations permit bats made of wood or aluminum in softball games. Bats ought to be smooth, without any splits or unpleasant edges standing out from them. When all is said in done, a bat must have a security grasp on it, and not simply tape. softballbatbuddy.com
