MGM Park Coming Soon!

After the news of the new Double-A affiliate to the Milwaukee Brewers was coming to Biloxi, MGM Resorts stepped up to build a new state of the art stadium for the new baseball team. The team, the Biloxi Shuckers, will have the privilege of playing in MGM Park which is located just across the street from MGM's lone Gulf Coast Casino, the Beau Rivage

The Biloxi Shuckers move to Biloxi, MS from Huntsville, AL and were formerly known as the the Huntsville Stars. MGM Park is tentatively scheduled to open in May of this year. If the building of the stadium is delayed for too long the Shuckers will continue to play in Huntsville until the stadium is completed.

This has been good news for the Gulf Coast who currently has two other Double-A affiliate teams, the Mobile Bay Bears and the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, as well as a Triple-A affiliate team, the New Orleans Zephyrs. It is also good news for baseball fans visiting the Gulf Coast. Each team and city are no more than two hours apart from each other. You could actually watch four games in four days in four cities, that is if the team schedules allow it.

MGM Park could not be in a better location for the Biloxi area. Located where I-110 ends at Hwy 90 making it very convenient to get to from anywhere. An easy walk from two major casino's and a short drive from many other casino's put MGM Park right in the middle of all the Mississippi Gulf Coast action.
